I'm praying that imdb isn't just posting rumors again, but they have Bruce Campbell listed as playing Doc Conners/The Lizard. Has anyone heard anything legitimite (imdb is getting worse and worse for posting bad info)?

On Bruce Campbell's website he says it was rumour.
Since he was in the first one as the ringmaster and all, I doubt it. It seems to me that Raimi, who went out his way to insert offhand references to future villains in the first one to entertain hardcore fans, wouldn't make as big a leap as that. Not that it'd be overly confusing or anything, but I just don't think he'd allow that kind of inconsistency.
Knowing Sam, the opportunity to torture Bruce might prove too tempting.
"Okay, Bruce. You only have one arm, so we're going to bend your arm he wrong way and hold it with rubber bands. Now Tobey Maguire's going to beat the crap out of you, for real. He has steel-toed Spidey-boots just to be sure, and you'll spend the scene with webbing filling every hole in your face. Action!"
