Otherwise,Christopher Lee's yeoman gig here is the only reason this movie still exists.
Why not burn ALL of the Police Academy films? If every movie as bad as PA had six sequels...well, I don't want to think about it. Ginger Snaps 7: Bloodier Panties.
I had no idea there was a Police Academy 7. Did it go straight to video? At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if it were a buddy picture with Tackleberry and the funny noise guy.
I thought the original Police Academy was funny, but it should have stopped there. I couldn't stand seeing the same gags recycled again and again, with anything that was mildly funny in small doses heaped on the next time around. With the plots getting more juvenile, the main characters leaving and the bit players gradually taking over, it just doesn't make any sense that it went on so long.
Sounds kind of like Happy Days, doesn't it?

But then we wouldn't have one of my favorite scenes of the entire seires; where Jones (AKA funny noise guy) is getting his butt kicked, so he picks up some scrap metal and wires and pretends to be a robot.
