Title: CURB YOU ENTHUSIASIM: Anybody see this show?
Post by: Chris K. on November 14, 2002, 12:53:59 PM
On HBO, their is a show called CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASIM and features Larry David. David, the original creator of SEINFELD, plays "himself" and pretty much gets himself into trouble alot with family, friends, associates, etc.

It's quite funny and I was just wondering if anybody has seen CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASIM lately?

Watched 5 minutes of it once, I think I counted him b***hing about 20-30 different things or so before I turned it off.

I think it's pretty funny.

How angry do you have to be to make the George character from "Seinfeld" seem normal?

I would say it's definitely a dryer humor than you would regularly see.  Kind of like the movies WAITING FOR GUFFMAN and BEST IN SHOW.  In fact, I heard that a lot of the scenes in "Curb Your Enthusiasm" are improvised.

Definitely not a show for anybody who wants to see more than constant bickering and b***hing.

Ha-ha. Larry David has trivial misunderstandings with has-been celebrities. Ho-ho.

I only saw part of one episode and that was the one where he's watching Maury Povich in the beginning and he's yelling along with it.

I turned it off as well.

It would've rotted my brain had I kept on watching.
