Haven't seen it yet, but if you haven't either, here's something to watch and listen for: according to the IMDB entry's "trivia" section--quote--"in honor of the franchise's 40th anniversary, there is a visual or spoken reference to each of the previous nineteen Bond films." Someone listed an easy example on the IMDB Message Boards: "Diamonds are for everyone." Visual references reportedly fill Q's lab, such as spike-loaded shoes as seen in "From Russia With Love."
Censored for US release?? Whaaaaaaaa? I don't have a confirmation, but the hot-stuff sex scene between Berry and Brosnan (he's such a lucky bastard) reportedly runs LONGER in Europe and is trimmed up for the American audience. Gotta protect the unaccompanied kids, I guess; don't want any bare arse mixed in with the strangulations and head-shootings...
Mr. Cranky (http://www.mrcranky.com/) hates the film something crazy. Chilling quote: "I don't know where the definition of "kiss of death" is in the Hollywood lexicon but "Madonna has a speaking part" is an indication that you're getting close."
Yes, Maddie has a speaking role in "Die." Oh-oh...
Squishy pointed out: "... the hot-stuff sex scene between Berry and Brosnan (he's such a lucky bastard) reportedly runs LONGER in Europe..."
YESSSSSSSS!!!!
Berry's entry is a recreation of Ursula Andress's famed entrance in Dr. No, or so the movie critic here said. I'll see it, just cause, well, it's a b-movie at heart.
Well, if they shortened Halle's sex scene too much, we can always go rent Monster's Ball again.
Geez, less Halle Berry sex and more of George Clooney buttocks - what IS Hollywood coming to?
And don't get me started on that Batman nipple thing.
