I have a technical question about this phorum.
Whenever I want you to look at another website's page to give an example on something, I usually just copy & paste the link on here.
You then copy it and paste it into your browser window and go from there to view it.
On some posts though, I've noticed that others are able to put a single word or two up (it's usually highlighted in green) and I'm able to go directly to that link without all of the copying & pasting.
How is this done?
One I've wanted to know for a while.
Check out "help" at the top of the page, specifically "link to a website."
So we just put the badmovies.org site's address followed by the slash and THEN we put the other site's address behind that?
Am I following correctly?
I'm not the most p.c. savvy guy in the world.
The address/URL goes inside the first set of brackets, following "url=."
The name you want to resprent the link in your message goes between the two sets of brackets.
For example...if I want to write a post saying:
Hey, check THIS STUFF out!
...and THIS STUFF is to be my green-highlighted link, I would type it like this (substituting parentheses for brackets for sake of example only):
Hey, check (url=http://www.addressoflinkedsite.com)THIS STUFF(/url) out!
Note that there are no spaces before or after THIS STUFF. However, a space between the words is okay.
Remember--brackets, not parentheses!
Thanks!
Now we all know how to do this!
