I'm not a fan of Rob Zombie but I heard he was going to do an ultra gruesome movie, what was it called and when's it coming out? anybody know what I'm talking about?
Wow, you're a REAL newbie. It's called House Of 1,000 Corpses. It was completed two years ago and has since been picked up and dropped by several studios. It finally seems to have a firm release date now.

I posted here a couple times 2 years ago, I forgot what I posted here before though.
so it's going to be in theaters right?
It sure is, Beavis. Heard the words from the mouth of the man himself the second time I saw him in concert (an experience that must be seen to be believed, he is the greatest showman on the planet, hands down). The movie is being released by Lion's Gate in March.
A man who mixes metal (I'm sure someone's going to yell at me for calling him metal, but bite me, White Zombie was metal) and b-movies and pulls it off...pure genius.

Rob Zombie is nu-metal and industrial, death to false metal.........just kidding
White Zombie was metal but his solo stuff is more of technoish sounding hard rock.
I'm waiting for Rob's Ramones tribute disc. Just to see how wrong everyone gets it. It has No Doubt and Eddie Vedder, fer cryin' out loud!
I love the way all of Rob Zombie's songs sound eerily similar and prominently feature him saying "yeah". I will agree that his live shows are wild, fire and giant robots are pretty nifty. ( i saw him open for korn a few years ago...ahh highschool)

His shows are great, and really, I still can't decide what genre to put him in...for now, he gets one of his own....he was great at ozzfest at Great Woods (Tweeter Center in Mansfield, Mass) He didnt want to be there, so instead of putting up a front he complained about doing the same thing every day, trying to make it interesting, so he threw up his hands, had a guy from the audience dressed as cow come up and dance, sang a few more songs and left...he was right. You cant see Zombie at a big show like that and have it mean very much, at all....most of the fun is in his theatrics. take those away, and its not too great. i saw him a few months earlier play in this big barn thing in maine and it rocked...he was way into it and we all went nuts for him....he also played a 10 minute video of clips from house....it looks awesome
Does he ever do internation tours? Since I can't really afford to travel to America and see him live there. BTW, didn't he and Ozzy Osbourne once do a song together?
Ironhead I think the song was with Ozzy, he probably does tour around the world, I'm not sure though. I mostly listen to progressive death metal.
Hey, it's cool, since I mostly listen to mid-80's thrash metal (EXODUS~! METALLICA~! MEGADETH~! SLAYER~!) and modern melodic death/thrash/hardcore bands (Shadows Fall and Beyond The Embrace, anyone?)...
Anyways, yeah. Rob's one hell of an entertainer, and his music is just great industrial rock for parties and kicking ass. Plus, he's a huge wrestling fan, and appeared at ECW shows whenever they were nearby, so instqant "props" from me.
Im not the biggest metal fan, but I love System of a Down They are amazing
Now they are CRazy. Zombie, Disturbed and Mudvayne are decent
Sure "Never gonna stop" is Edge's WWF (I will never call it WWE- D'oh! I just did!) theme, and Edge I heard appeared at one of Rob's concerts and sang it with him.
Yeah, System of a Down are one of my faves too.
More than likely. Edge is big into the rock that is fun to listen to and whose performers put on amazing live shows. I mean, he's a member of the KISS Army...
Anyways, I'd hardly call System Of A Down, Disturbed, Mudvayne, etc. metal. This may be the one time I WANT megafury to post some suggestions here...
Shadows Fall - "The First Noble Truth"
Beyond The Embrace - "Bastard Screams"
Megadeth - "In My Darkest Hour"
Slayer - "Angel Of Death"
Exodus - "The Toxic Waltz"
The Haunted - "Bury Your Dead"
Absu - "Our Lust For Lunar Plains"
Arch Enemy - "Pilgrim"
Now THAT'S metal.
It's too bad they're done.
I'm glad that I got to see them live.
They put on a kickass show.
Mustaine stopped the show cause 2 people spit on him.
He invited them to come up onstage so he could kick the s**t outta them. They didn't come up.
My fav Megadeth album by far is "Youthanasia".
Whenever I tell my friends that they always shudder and say I'm wrong.
To each his own I say.
"Peace Sells" runs a close second.
I listen to just about everything. I have some pretty strange stuff in my collection. Everything from In Flames, Napalm Death and Strapping Young Lad to the Pogues and Mannheim Steamroller. I'm going to see SYL, Napalm Death, Dark Tranquility, the Berzerker and Nile in January, just a short five days after B-Fest.
Everyone who can make it should come. It's going to be one brutal-ass show.
I've noticed that most people who like b-movies are metal heads in one form or another as well. In fact, I even wrote an article about it.
Hm...I think I'll start a new thread for favorite bands....
Brother R
Yeah, Dave really was an amazing guitarist, and just embodied metal in so many ways (smart but looks stupid, changed over the years, can kick your ass without thinking twice, kickass guitars, and has been near-death so many times but NEVER DIES). Too bad about his arm.
I saw Megadeth ONCE, and they were awful. Although this was very shortly after Al Pitrelli and Jimmy DeGrasso just joined the band, so they were probably still working out the kinks.
Any thoughts on Metallica? I've only started to listen to their songs recently, and I like songs like "Enter Sandman" "One" and "For whom the bell tolls"
In sooooooo excited to see things like "Shadows fall" and "In Flames" showing up here! I'm really not alone! WOO (18 visions style!)
