Title: Al Gore - funny man extraordinaire
Post by: Dano on December 16, 2002, 07:58:16 PM
Just watched my tape, and Al Gore blew Dole's Saturday Nite Live performance away the other night.  I thought it was on a par with McCain - not as funny overall, but the skit with Gore and the running mate hopefuls in the format of "The Bachelor" was one of the funniest things they did on that show this season.

Some comentators predicted he would announce that he wasn't running again based on his loose performance on SNL... and they were right.

He was one of the funnier politicians they've had....my favorite of the newer episodes is still "Friggin' Gulianni"

At least he did better than Steve Forbes. "I...don't...(looks at teleprompter)...know,".

I was blown away by it, and I'm certainly not an Al Gore fan.  "The Bachelor " skit was both funny and disturbing.  Al as Trent Lott was great, it actually gives me hope that there is life still left in SNL
