Just seen the film SHREK last night. It was ok, but I really wasn't that interested. The graphics are like those from on of the better computer games. I laughed maybe two times. Again the kids applauded at the end, so it must have had something going for it. I like GRINCH better, just to give you an idea.
Roger Ebert gave it a 4 out of 4 (I guess because he can identify with the Orge)
Summer Films:
A Knights Tale *****
The Mummy Returns **
Shrek **
I think that "Shrek" has some potential. Will just have to wait until I see it for myself. For the record, I usually do not go to theaters. Think that I'll only see two films in the theater this year...

Yeah, God knows I got nothing against kids--just not inside a movie theatre these days. But I've already gotten a few titters from the trailers, and the amazing graphics--Donkey's face suggests a severely "Goo"ed picture of Eddie Murphy himself, that's so weird--are enough eye candy to make me go see it, once the crowds have tapered off a bit and the screaming rugrats are all watching "Nadia"--oops, I mean "Atlantis."
I saw this at a mantnee with a pal on the weekend. I like it. I've seen better, but it's ok.....For a disney flick.
Surprisinly, the little kids there weren't very rowdy. It was a lot worse when i went to Hannibal.
