Title: Tomb Raider
Post by: Scott on December 31, 2002, 11:32:25 PM
Just watched TOMB RAIDER and really liked it. It worked for me. Angelina Jolie is fantastic  as a female Indiana Jones type. Nice actress, action, and they even threw in an Illuminati conspiracy.

Well, we are 90 minutes from the New Year here on the east coast and here is my newest list of films to see, to start off the new year: Based on what I know is on the shelves of local video stores.

Route 666
Geronimo
Jason Goes to Hell
Astronauts Wife
Beverly Hills Ninja
Quills

I keep finding stuff to watch. What do you all think of the Prophecy films starring Christipher Walken?

What about all those Caged Heat type films? Which is the best?

Borders has some (3) good movie books for all you B-fans at my local store. Can't remember the titles though, but the movie posters and images inside are great. Books all cost $20 bucks.

The first is the best. They kind of go downhill a little in the second and third ones, but still interesting.

Prophecy

Some interesting speculation about a rebellion in heaven and it's spill over into our world.  Christopher Walken is fun to watch and surprisingly menacing.

Sci-Fi channel seems to like playing II and/or III on weekends about once a month it seems; maybe you can catch a bit of one of them

Talken for what it tries to be, it's well executed and pretty good to watch

Gerrry "What more can I say? I thought the movie was a lot of fun. I've personally never played the Tomb Raider games, but I've played enough video games in my time to know what they offer. And TOMB RAIDER the movie hits it right on the head. If you go in expecting movie greatness, you're sure to be disappointed. But if you go in to see Laura Croft come to life, you'll probably have a good time."

I read the above review and agree with you. I didn't want to see this movie because it was from a video game. So I have just first seen it and was hoping to see something, but wasn't sure what and I just like the whole combination they put together.

I did a mini review here. Liked it. Hey, any film with Chris (Arther Judas Rimmer) Barrie as Lara's butler can't be all bad!
Brain surgery it ain't , but ya kinda know that going in....

And for the longest time, I thought I was the only one who liked this movie.  Nice to hear there are some other fans out there.
