HAHAHAHAHA!!! I WIN!!!!! HAPPY NEW YEARS EVERYONE!!!

haha cool. Happy new years to you all, I celebrated new years with a group watching of Evil Dead. A new video store opened near me carrying lots of imports and hard to find movies, inculind a great horror section with titles like cannibal holocost, meet the feebles, bride of reanimator, bloodsucking freaks, cannibal the musical, and alot more, and they only carry movies that are uncut they refuse to get edited movies which is awesome.
Oooog. Still an hour to go in this time zone. Just finished watching the "Metropolis" anime. Remember kids: In sci-fi, no one is ever completely dead (just mostly dead).
Whent and saw LOTR "The Two Towers" yesterday. The fight between Gandalf and the Balrog was cool on a big screen. I liked the editing for the conversation between Smeegle (sp?) and Golum.
May all the others celebrating new years have fun and make a lot of noise this evening! *

I desperately wish there was a movie store near me like that. Maybe my friends and I will open one...
We celebrated with one of our customary movie nights, the lineup being...Grizzly, because it's become a New Year's tradition somehow. The Ledgend of the Rollerblade 7, starring Joe Estevez and Frank Stallone - it reminded me of a cross between Mad Max and Heironymous Merkin, with a banjo-playing Invisible Man. Pin: A Plastic Nightmare - because a friend of ours who works at the video store recommended it. It was tolerable, but boring and the ending was predictable. Raptor - Carnosaur: Greatest Hits. Spliced together kill scenes from the first three Carnosaur movies with sets that looked like those from the other movies and stupid plot devices to get the characters to said sets. It was everything I'd hoped for. And finally, Incubus starring Shatner. My damnable work schedule had left me with little time to prepare for the all-nighter and we were approaching seven in the morning by this point, so I zoned out for part of it, but I kept it with intentions of watching it tonight. What I saw looked well-done and interesting.
All in all, a good New Year's Eve, and a good day to all of you.

My movie faire for the night was "Ator: The Fighting Eagle" (http://us.imdb.com/Title?0085183)
um...can I take a Mulligan on last night and do it over? I have "Scanners" on the shelf, waiting...
Although it did have one really funny line...something like "The ground trembles like a virgin approaching the bridal suite" Now *there's* a mixed metaphor of a simile I never would've thought of...
It also had the worst giant spider since "Robot Holocaust"
My dad and I have a New Years Day tradition of watching the live-action Popeye movie. I'm not quite sure exactly how it came about, but we've watched it damn near every New Years for as long as I can remember.
