Just saw a trailer for a movie called RUSSIAN ARK, which consists of a single 87-minute shot. Looks pretty neat, I guess.
Which got me thinking about experimental films. Not indie flicks which are weird for weirdness sake, but actual movies that are actual experiments in some aspect of film technique.
The movie TIME CODE was filmed real-time with four separate cameras playing all the time in each corner of the screen. MEMENTO was an experiment in reverse narrative.
And I hear this movie, THE JAZZ SINGER, actually features talking!
