Godmonster of Indian Flats.
Blood Freak.
Gymkata (amazingly bad!).
Starship Invasions.
Hercules, with Lou Ferrigno.
Don't Go In The Woods (the WORST!).
Concord Airport 79.
What else?
THE MATRIX......overblown and overrated, IMHO. I have the dvd and have watched it only once. Couldn't figure out WHAT the fuss was all about.
In all honesty, the definition of a "bad movie" (a subject which I've discussed on another internet board) is highly subjective, IMHO. If one enjoys a movie.....regardless of how well-done or badly-done technically it might be, it can't really be all THAT bad if one enjoys it.
What I'D like to see here on this site or on a bad movie site like Jabootu's is for someone to start a section where they take tried and true classics (Gone With The Wind, Citizen Kane, Casablanca.....you name it) and deliberately TRASH it as though it were garbage. My point would be proven.
Example: when it was originally released in 1960, PSYCHO was put down by the critics who didn't care for it, and they praised another similar movie released that same year.....William Castle's HOMICIDAL, which they said was actually the better film. Time have changed, however....
P.S. Don't take me too literally and don't get me wrong....I really enjoy this site and others like it (although I don't always agree with the films selected as "bad").
I think everyone should see The House That Vanished, because it's the worst damn movie we at the Brotherhood have ever seen, and I'm not so sure anyone believes us. Someone else should review it so we can get a second (actually, third, because Braineater.com did it too) opinion.
Brother R
MANGLER 2 and DARK UNIVERSE to name a couple.
The trailer for "The House That Vanished" is on the "Asylum Of Satan/Satan's Children" DVD from Something Weird. It looked okay but now that I read the reviews at the other sites, yeah, it looks pretty awful. BTW, Asylum of Satan and Satan's Children should also be reviewed here. The DVD is great, even if the movies aren't.
What about Grim and Pinnochio's Revenge. And Wes Craven's Carnival Of Souls just to name a few. and Vengeance of the Dead
PINOCHIO'S REVENGE and VENGEANCE OF THE DEAD aren't bad at all. In fact VENGEANCE is excellent.
They did a sequal to "The Mangler"? Now, I must go bang my head into the desk.
Here's a list:
Son Of Blob (The budget was so low, they coundn't even afford a "the" in the title)
Empire Of Ants (Really bad, but great fun)
Zombie 1-5 (Ugh, gag me)
Dog Soldier (AWUL British Werewolf flick, great MST bate)
Maniac Cop 1-3 (You have to see the "15 minute burning scene" in the third one)
All The Friday The 13th movies (This place is lacking slasher flicks)
Any of those sappy Lifetime movies of the week
Ok, I'm done....
Oh, I completely forgot about Son of Blob or Beware! The Blob. LOL!
We've actually taken it up as a mission to get ahold of every copy we can from eBay or wherever and destroy them with the ultimate goal of one day wiping this out of print (thank Cthulhu) pile of rotting afterbirth off the face of the planet.
Brother R
here is my list.. psycho from texas -- the lou ferrigno hercules films --texas chainsaw massacre 2 --rocktober blood --alien contamination that's about it..
Can't forget Hercules in New York, with a dubbed Arnold Schwarzenneger!
Also - Pink Flamingos and John Waters' other works are noticeably absent from this site, as are the Reanimator flicks.
I'd like to see "Killer Condom: The Rubber that Rubs You Out" and "Suburban Commando," personally
