Title: an ant movie
Post by: Susan on January 15, 2003, 10:57:03 PM
I have a movie in the back of my head I think I must have seen 15 years ago (guaranteed the movie is probably much older..70's most likely but can't be sure). I want to say that the only thing I remember is something about ants. I don't know if there were researchers or something somewhere underground  but I keep thinking the movie had ants in it (normal size) that were deadly. The film may not have actually focused on ants, I can't recall. Just seems like I remember them getting in sometimes suit.

I think maybe it was a desert like area, if not another planet..lol. Just seems like the researches were wearing spacesuits and didn't go outside much. I can't really find a place on the net that lists all insect movies ever made so I wonder if that bit of info might jog someones memory.

Sure is interesting tho to think of all the insect films out there, almost every insect seems to have hit the big screen. With the exception maybe of killer stink bugs or ladybugs

The movie is Phase IV, one of my favorite 70's nature attacks movies.  It's a great movie that pops up on the Sci Fi channel every now and again, and is unfortunately very difficult to get ahold of.

Thanks! I was hoping I didn't get a response that said I was losing it. ;-)
It's not something I ever seem to see on the tv but for some reason parts of that movie stick out in my memory so I guess it musta been good. I'd rent it but I have a feeling no video store would carry such an obscure flick.  In the meantime i'll go read about it on IMDB. woo-hoo!

Amazon has a used copy listed right now for about $3.
