Title: Bad Movie Night
Post by: The Burgomaster on January 20, 2003, 06:42:04 PM
If I had an all-night bad movie DVD screening at my house on a Saturday night, would you show up and how far would you travel to get there? Would your answer change if I paid for the pizza? (Shhhh . . . my wife knows nothing about this).

The movie list might include:

Plan 9 From Outer Space (not a very original choice, but what would a bad movie screening be without it?)

Bride of the Monster

Glen or Glenda

Beast of Yucca Flats

Invasion of the Blood Farmers

Dolemite

Beware! The Blob

The Thing with Two Heads

Teenage Strangler

Curse of the Headless Horseman (see my earlier posting - watching this REALLY separates the hard core bad movie fans from the amateurs)

The farthest I would travel would be 45 minutes.  1 hour if Dolemite is guaranteed.  1 1/2 hours if you substitute Disco Godfather for Dolemite.

Put your weight on it!

Plan 9 From Outer Space - This is movie greatness.

Bride of the Monster - This film sits on the edge of greatness.

Glen or Glenda - Phew..........Classic filmmaking.

Beast of Yucca Flats - You have to love the narration and Tor Johnson

Invasion of the Blood Farmers - Would love to see this title.

Dolemite - Haven't seen it. I think I can rent this one.

Beware! The Blob - Haven't seen it yet. Sometimes it comes on TV.

The Thing with Two Heads - Not bad. The transplant scene is fun.

Teenage Strangler - Haven't seen it.

Curse of the Headless Horseman - I think I seen this one, but as you have said its not very memorable. I think Disney made a good one in the 60's or 70's.

Well, Joe, where do you live?  I'm always up for a road trip, as are my Brothers in Bad Movies.  If you say Texas, I'm afraid we'll have to decline.

I watched Bride of the Monster just last night.  Ah, Bella, how do you do it?  Beast of Yucca Flats is EXTREMELY horrible.   If you like Roger Corman flicks, check out "Redzone Cuba".
