Title: Anyone watch Control Factor on Sci-Fi?
Post by: JohnL on January 22, 2003, 07:56:24 AM
Control Factor was a 'Sci-Fi Original' (which means they bought it from someone else) starring Adam Baldwin, Elizabeth Berkley and Tony Todd. Baldwin stars as a normal guy who starts hearing voices telling him to kill his wife, Berkley, after almost being killed himself by a nutcase with a shotgun who comes looking for him at his job. Looking for answers, he runs into Todd who tells him that he's the victim of a mind control experiment.

I thought this one was decent. There's not much in the way of special effects, so the actors have to carry the film. Baldwin doesn't exactly fit the role of an average married guy, but didn't do too badly in the role. Todd turned in his usual good performance and Berkley was ok in the first half of the movie, but looked out of place in the second half.

All in all, not great, but nowhere near as bad as some of the other garbage they've shown.

Speaking of which, any opinions on their new Adrian Paul series, "Tracker"?   For me, the jury is still out; it could be really good is done right, or it could end up really bad

Tracker isn't new, it aired in syndication from Oct. 2001 to June 2002. As far as I know, it's history and there won't be a second season. In fact, Sci-Fi is advertising that Tremors will air in the 10pm timeslot Fridays, so I don't know what they're going to do with Tracker.
