I am taking a film class this quarter at shool and we were watching Citizen Kane and someone in the class said how much they hated the movie. The the next week we watched Rashomon and someone else expressed their absolute loathing of the movie just because they didn't like the ending. This got me to thinking what is a movie that you just hate. I'm not talking about movies that you didn't understand but movies that you loathe so much that you will never ever consider watching them again.
I wasted 5 dollars on watching 3 Strikes and that movie was beyong terrible. After it was over I threatened my "friend" who insisted on us watching it. That year he dropped out of school and finally decided to come and visit me this year.
Another movie that I hate is The Talented Mr. Rip Off... I mean Ripley (a side movie we can choose to view in our class). It seemed to me as if everyone in the movie was a gigantic moron. Maybe it's because I'm blind but I think I would have been able to tell Tom from Dickey especially when looking at a photo ID. Hell I get questioned when I show my ID to people and it's actually me on it.
O and then there is the dreaded Carnival of Souls (Wes Craven edition). I hate this movie so bad that I didn't watch acob's Ladder for a whole year because it reminded me of this putrid thing.
So qwhat are some movies you guys hate
I hate the following:
Armageddon.
Godzilla (98).
Lethal Weapon 2 (don't ask).
Satans Storybook- I don't think I can say enough about this except Thank God for meds and therapy.
Any of the Austin Power films- I have tried to watch it
yeah....Godzilla 1998. An absolute insult to anyone's senses. Stupid story, stupid characters, stupid music..........I HATE THIS MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anything by Spielberg, f**king formulaic manipulative hack
The Matrix
The General's Daughter
I'm tempted to say Giant Iguana '98 as well but it was merely incredibly bad, it didn't p**s me off and leave me with lingering malice toward it.
ANYTHING with Jeff Goldblum
or Capricorn One with Elliot Gould I really hate him too.
Lost Souls. Hey you f**kING PRETENTIOUS FRENCH f**k, PUT AND ENDING ON YOUR MOVIE NEXT TIME!!! YOU CAN'T JUST SHOOT THE DEVIL IN THE HEAD AND BE DONE WITH IT!!! AAAAAARRRGH!
In other news, I liked Elliot Gould in MASH, and I don't hate Godzilla 98 because I consider it a remake of Beast from 20,000 Fathoms, and as such, it works. It's still not great, but it works.

GODZILLA '98 is art compared to any othe movie bearing that title.
Hey Perk...I go to OSU too...what year are ya?
Man how could I foget about Lost Souls. I was hyped for that movie and then out of nowhere I see it and then its over with the gun shot to the head. I was sittting in the theatre hoping that something else would happen after the credits were over.. No dice.

Senior. Graduating in spring (hopefully :>)
Oh yeah...movies I hate:
Werewolf (that's the title)...oh god, did that suck!! and anything with a s**tty social commentary to it...(can't think of specifics, but you know they're out there)
I hate Robert Altman.(and therefore all of his movies)..there, I said it. Everyone is always on about how he's a genius and a groundbreaking filmmaker. Maybe, but he bores the absolute p**s out of me. I think he's aboring tit. I liked MASH though.
I share your hate for Altman, Deej. I think he's way too overrated, but I think he is actually talented. I really enjoyed "The gingerbread man", that Grisham movie all the critics despise because it is commercial and his worst film ever. I found it witty and excellently directed, despite its silly script.
My personal hate would be Chuck Norris. There's not a single film of his I have enjoyed at all, he can't act and the... uhm... content beyond the action is often sickening.

One time I was at a local punk show and I made a comment about chuck norris and this guy came up to me bragging to be related to him and had pictures to prove it. He kept going on about it and didn't seem to notice that I couldn't care less.
The only movie off the top of my head that I can't stand is the matrix, the black ball of hate inside me grows whenever people praise that movie. It also happens whenever other movies copy the matrix for any other reason than to make fun of it. On the other hand, I do like the short video clip where fart sounds are put into scenes from the matrix.
I hate the movie Parents (http://us.imdb.com/Title?0098068).
Other movies I dislike, or just can't stand, but PARENTS I hate.
Of course, I'm always tempted to throw it into the VCR. Morbid curiousity possesses me to. I actually made it through half an hour once before I had to take it out of the deck.
Any G-rated movies, especially those tooth achingly sweet movies that involve pets and children. If it doesn't have a shred of violence, it's unwatchable.

Meteor Man can kick Superman's ass
Oh yeah...another movie would be KIDS.....that had to be illegal somehow...no way that could have been legal....i wanna beat the s**t out of the kid who lisps thru the whole movie!!
In no particular order:
Fifth Element
West Craven presents: They
Mesa of Lost Women
Roughly 6 hours I'd love to have back.
I dunno if this counts, but I refuse to watch Titanic on general principle. It just represents everything about movies that I utterly loathe.
In my opinion that counts. I won't watch Spielberg films on general principle.
Steve, you're a man after my own heart. I hate that movie and everyone involved should be thrown screaming from a helicopter or tied to a chair and beaten with a Viking war hammer.

The Original Japanese Godzilla is so much a better movie than the piece of s**t American version from '98.
Hell, even Raymond Burr gets injured (damn near killed!) in the '54 American Godzilla!
Broderick (a scientist who is in love with an airhead news reporter???) goes face to face with the lizard and doesn't react to any bad breath? Doesn't get eaten? Escapes death in a car that's being chomped on?
No one dies in the '98 version, its waaay too silly for an average minded man, sappy music plays when we first see Godzilla (at least the Japanese created a doom laden theme for the big G), the whole movie disgraces Godzilla in every way!
Godzilla's Revenge is on par with the '98 version.
Hell, even in the latest GMK: ALL MONSTERS ATTACK they poke much fun at the American version in sly ways. GMK may be one of the best of any Godzilla movie. Definately in the TOP 5!!!
I thought I picked up some of that backlash in Godzilla 2000, too. Godzilla's enemy looks strikingly similar to Deanzilla, and its spaceship is pretty remniscent of the Independence Day ship. I saw it as a nice gesture of "Screw you guys, we're taking him back!"
Look for him in Bully.
Larry Clark is the apex of all evil to me. The movies he has unleashed on us is a travesty! Such would be the case of:
Kids
Bully
Teenage Caveman (the remake from 2000 I think)
He general perversion with teens naked is just sickening! I can't think of anyone else who should be beaten with a wooden stick while the rest of the world collectively takes a buncen burner to his privates and melds a ick me in the nuts sign to his very place where we burn off his memeber and then we make him go searching for it while the rest of the world again hunts him down liek I dog while he tries to find his little monster.
I can barely sit through a theatrical trailer of any movie starring Adam Sandler.
Ditto for Paulie Shore.
As for an entire movie that I just hate? Anything starring any actor or actress who appeared in either BEVERLY HILLS 90210 or MELROSE PLACE.
Any Japanese Godzilla (or even Kaiju in general) movie is better than G 98, period. I definitely hate that piece of garbage.
have to be
the unbearable lightnes of being or whatever, didn't make it past the credits
take it back.....has anyone EVER seen night patrol????
I think you owe the makers of THE BEAST FROM 20,000 FATHOMS an apology.
GODZILLA '98
IN-DUH-PENDENCE DAY
PINNOCHIO (The Roberto Benigni Version)
PEARL HARBOR
Pretty much anything starring Martin Laurence, Jerry O'Connell, or Rob Schneider
