I am in love with the Roadrunner Video Club outside of Knoxville, TN. Never before have I found so many outstandingly worthless and obscure movies in one place. Here are the last 4 that I found, which cost me a gross total of $14.37, or about $3.50 apiece. $3.50 for an awful movie!!! I am in heaven!!!
Dead Mate (1988): The three reviews for this movie on the IMDb all vididly detest this movie. Even the one review outside the IMDb, at the Video Graveyard hates it. Necrophelia is the topic at hand, which includes electrocution through the breasts it is said.
Operation Double 007 (1990): Sean Connery's brother, Neil Connery stars in the most blatant James Bond rip-off the world has ever seen. Even the box credits Neil Connery for being Sean's brother, and lists many of the actors as having previous roles in REAL 007 movies.
Return to Frogtown (1993): Bad movies DID come out in the 90's! Sequel to "Hell Comes to Frogtown," the Texas Rocket Rangers are back in action! And to kick it up a notch, the VHS tape is GREEN to match the frogs! Green tapes = fun movies!
Hell Squad (1985): Bought this on a hunch. It's about sexy yet deadly women who "trade in their G-strings for K-rations." Yet another "women are better, and are deadlier, and sexier, and better than men" movie. It came in awesome packaging though, a flip open case that is individually numbered! Score!
Scottie
Right on man! Dead Mate and Hell Squad were two of my rents last spring... Those movies are all shades of awesome! What the help was up with the "Scoobie Do" ending in Hell Squad anyway!!??!?!
So these movies are out on DVD? I would have never imagined it.
I've heard about the Neil Connery Flick, supposedly Sean didn't talk to Desmond Llewelyn for quite awhile because he appeared in this one. Let us know how it turns out.
I saw OPERATION DOUBLE 007 on MST 3000. It was pretty bad . . . and very funny.
