I'm sure many of you have heard about famous record producer Phil Spector being arrested for the shooting death of an unidentified female yesterday. Well, the female has been identified and it turns out to be b-movie queen Lana Clarkson, who is best known for starring in THE BARBARIAN QUEEN, AMAZON WOMEN ON THE MOON, and DEATHSTALKER. I suspect we'll be hearing much more about this in the media very shortly.

It's really ironic what the mainstream (read doofus) press picks up on and what they don't. I saw a picture of this record producer, who I have no idea who he is and don't care to, and first thing I think is "he looks like some sort of ex-hippee flake and whatever happened, he did it, no need for a trial." They, of course didn't mentioned the victim, who I would have recognized.
What a very sad descent for a decent actress who,despite the likes of Sybil Danning and Linnea Quigley receiving all of the clout,was one of the more better B movie performers of the 80s,with her performances in "Deathstalker",the "Barbarian Queen" movies,and(more recently)"Vice Girls" being fully top notch:hell,she even shared the screen with Sybil in "Amazon Women On The Moon",which I'm sure that Sybil is feeling really bad about this tragic news,as much as everybody else is.

He was a protege of George Martin of Beatles production fame. Phil Spector was famous for his 'Wall Of Sound' production style that changed how pop/rock music was recorded and produced, and probably infamous for the over-produced strings in the Beatles "Let It Be".
In this case, the press probably got it right as more people in general are probably more familiar with Phil Spector, or at least his work, then Lana Clarkson
She was one of my favorite actress I would have love to meet never miss a movie she was in. I hate it when very bad things happen to good people like Lana Clarkson. That a***ole Spector should have been in prison a long time ago after he abused his ex wife Ronni Spector and threatening the people he work with like John Lennon.
