Just finished an Italian film called:
LA STRADA (1954) - directed by Federico Fellini and starring Anthony Quinn and Giulietta Masina. The film is very good. Another Fellini film centered around circus enviroment like in Fellini's 8 1/2. Not as strange as 8 1/2 , but a strong drama instead. The subtitles don't take anything away from this film. The female star is very good, kinda like a Charlie Chaplin believe it or not. The film is rather deep in meaning and the question of life.
Its about a strong man in a circus who kinda buys an assistant and she stays with him through much abuse till he lets her go. The film is quite captivating.
