Title: Where are the Peter Fonda movies?
Post by: The Burgomaster on February 24, 2003, 10:33:59 AM
There is a disturbing LACK of Peter Fonda movies on DVD. I have EASY RIDER (of course) and even THE LIMEY. But where the hell are:

RACE WITH THE DEVIL

DIRTY MARY, CRAZY LARRY

WANDA NEVADA

92 IN THE SHADE

OUTLAW BLUES

Not to mention his 60s biker/drug films (although, I believe that one or two of them are available, or will be released soon).

BRING ME FONDA!

FUTUREWORLD . . . of course!

I have the dubious distinction of being one of the 10 or 15 living people who actually saw that one in the theater during its original release . . .

A better question is WHY are the Peter Fonda movies. I do like Wild Angels, mostly because Peter Fonda and Bruce Dern are the only bikers I know I could kick the sh*t out of. That, and it's a pretty cool flick, as well.

USELESS TRIVIA: The Beatles' song She Said,She Said, was "inspired" by Peter Fonda.

My South African movie collection has a copy of "MERCENARY FIGHTERS" Starring Peter Fonda and  Robert Mitchum's son James I think.  Anyway, Its a great low budget action adventure film shot on location in Africa.  In fact its one of the better South African films from the Apartheid era.  hehhe one of my fave guilty pleasures LOL
