OK, I watched Creature (http://us.imdb.com/Title?0088961) last night, and while it didn't have a lot going for it, it did pleasently surprise me in that there were two cliches I kept expecting which didn't happen.
1) The character of "Bryce" who was a security specialist who was pretty aloof, strong, good with weapons, etc.. I honestly expected her to be an android, but it turns out she wasn't
2) I kept expected the 'final twist' at thge end to reveal that one of the survivors was really infected by the creature, but it didn't happen
I liked creature. I think they should have kept the original title of Titan Find though.
They could also have called it "Wasn't Alien A Cool Movie? Hey, Don't You Know A Producer?" Still an enjoyable flick, though. I was especially surprised to see Klaus Kinski in the role of the creepy lecherous guy. Such a departure from his usual work.

I thought the simularities to "Alien" were actually pretty superficial. Yeah, the monster had some resemblence but I thought the story was unique enough.

I found myself wondering how much of the story they wrote around the fact that they managed to pick up Klaus for the role.
For the most part, I enjoyed the movie. Except for the part where they are trying to electrocute the monster as it shambles.....very....slowly....down the hall
Maybe I should rent this Saturday when I go off to Hollywood Video...
CREATURE beats the crap out of STAR CRYSTAL on all counts. In fact CREATURE is more of a zombie movie than ALIEN clone except for the look of the monster.
