Was cruising through my local Meijers and Walmart today and saw the following, but I've been burned in the past when taking a chance, so I figured I'd ask you guys first.
Fortress, starring Christopher Lambert. $5.88 on DVD. The people over at IMDB actually seem to love this one, but I'd like to hear your guys' take on it. It looked pretty interesting, and Lambert's in it, so I was very tempted to pick it up. Is it worth going back for?
Thunder Warrior 3. $1.99 on VHS. Supposedly this movie is pretty hard to find, but it looked really crappy. There was some huge Indian dude on the cover, but the whole movie screamed crap. I don't know. Just had a bad feeling about this one.
Blue Thunder. $5.88 on DVD. Another actioner with Roy Scheider flying around in helicopters. Looked cool, but I figured I'd get some opinions first.
I ended up picking up No Way Back, a low budgeter starring Russell Crowe. Looked stupid, but it was directed by the dude who did American Yakuza, so I took a chance. Hopefully this one won't suck.
So what do you guys think? Any opinions?
Nick
You buy movies that don't suck? Oh........ Well, pick me up a copy of Thunder Warrior 3 then. For $1.99, you can't go wrong!

Both "Blue Thunder" and "Fortress" are worth getting. They are decent B-Movies. BT even has Malcolm McDowell as the villain. You've got a reader review of "Fortress" on this site.
I rented Fortress a long time ago It's a pretty good movie with Christopher" Conner MacLeod" Lambert and Robo Cop's Kurtwood Smith and the sexy Loryn Locklin she do some topless nude scenes in the film.
BLUE THUNDER - I never liked many police action type films. I seen this one at the theater when I was 17. Its a good production, but police/detectives in helecopters just didn't interest me. You might like though.
FORTRESS - Is a decent film. Prison in space. $6.00 bucks is about the right price.
Fortress is much better than you might expect . . . plenty of escapist action scenes.
Blue Thunder is highly overrated . . . at best, it's "okay."
Fortress is entertaining. Blue Thunder is pretty good, especially as pretty much everything they showed was/is possible.
Blue Thunder was a kickass flick when I was 8, I haven't seen it in the last 19 years, but what the hell, for 6 bucks...do it man!
