Okay, so the war has begun. War sucks, but it's been around forever, always will be. What I'm concerned about is the truly awful aftermath.
Of course I'm referring to the T-shirts! You'll remember all the awful t-shirts and bumperstickers that popped up during our last Middle-East adventure. You know, the "Saddam INSANE", "I'd Fly 10,000 Miles to Smoke A Camel", "If You'e Iraqi, You ain't Shi'ite", ilk. Yes,my friends, what worries me most is not political ramifications, the role of the UN in a post-war world or whether France likes us. What worries me most is s**tty humor.
I live in Oklahoma, and the people here just recently stopped wearing all the stupid s**t from the last war, now it looks like they'll be dusting their old rags off and adding even more stupid-assed slogans to their wardrobe. Thankfully, I'll be in Kuwait, where hopefully, slogan shirts are decreed "un holy".
Not that I have anything against funny bits on t-shirts, I don't. And, I'm more than okay with someone advertising the fact that they love cats, or that their kid is smart and rats out other kids at school,or how fast it takes one to go from zero to b***h, even though I really can't be bothered to actually give a f**k. But let's be honest, the war slogan shirts are along the lines of the "I'm with Stupid", "I hunt White-tail all year round", "Female Body Inspector" variety. That's the clothing equivalent of "pull my finger". I only hope that the next generation of Gulf War humor shirts are at least better written, but as this is highly unlikely, I ask that we all take a moment to pray. Pray, for better novelty clothing and automobile accesories!

I saw one piece that I found rather amusing (maybe that just means I'm a redneck, who knows). It appeared shortly after the Trade Center attack, and had a picture of a bomber with its entire possible payload laid out next to it. Underneath was the caption "The terrorists have won the coin toss and have elected to recieve." Perhaps not brilliant humor, but true nonetheless.

about a year ago I had one that said WANTED dead or alive. but the alive was scatched out - and Bin Laddens pic was under a bull's eye........but then the girl I was living with kicked me out and I forgot to pack it in my haste.
