Title: 3d movie reel?
Post by: Kent on April 09, 2003, 02:34:06 AM
Hello,
I recently got my hands on "Spacehunter: Adventures in the Forbidden Zone," and read that it was originally released in 3d mode.  Unfortunately, the movie is only sold in 2d now, so I was wondering if anyone knew how I could go about buying an actual 3d version in reel format.  Thanks.

There is a company online that is slowly releasing 3D movies on DVD and VHS. They are in the IMAX theater format, and you have to buy special glasses and a polarization device to connect to your TV in order to watch the movies. (Most of the movies that are available through this website right now are crappy . . . I have a few). You might want to check them out and see if they eventually release Spacehunter.

By the way . . . I saw Spacehunter in 3D when it was in its original theatrical run. The movie was very cheesy, but the 3D effects were pretty good.
