My daughter was born today at 1352 hours. She is 8 pounds and 7 ounces, both Katie and her are at the hospital and doing just fine.
At one point during the delivery, Katie punched me for being me. I did have her laughing when I expressed worry that the placenta was going to attack me (the doctor didn't get the b-movie joke).
This has been the best day of my life. Tiring, watching my wife "PUSH!" and helping as best I could by bracing one of her feet and talking to her, but amazing. Katie did all the work and is very tired - she and Jenna were sleeping when I left the hospital - but I looked into my daughter's sleepy eyes and everything else seems trivial in comparison to today.
Congratulations!!
Welcome to fatherhood!
Congratulations, Andrew!
Our fifth child (Andrew Jonathon, by chance) was born on April 7th.
Yes, very many congratulations to you and your new family!!
Yer a dad? wow, I feel sorry for your daughter, shes going to suffer so much when daddy shows her some of these bad movies. I hope loving bad movies is in your family ;) congrats.
Congradulations and Good Luck to you, your wife, and the baby!
Congratulations!
As the father of three girls, let me welcome you to the best/worst/happiest/saddest days of your life. A mixed bag to be sure, but I assure you from here on out you will be wondering what life was like before they came along. Congrats, and God bless.
On behalf of the entire Brotherhood of Bad Movies crew, a mighty hail to you, my good sir!
Brother R
I too would also like to add my congratulations.
Just think, now you have somebody to watch THE NEVERENDING STORY III with.
"Just think, now you have somebody to watch THE NEVERENDING STORY III with."
You know, Mofo, while it may seem funny to try and lure Andrew into such a horrible act of child abuse, you're leaving yourself open to being charged as an accessory. :)
Congratulations, Andrew!
8 lbs, 7 oz? Good work, Andrew! ;)
Welcome to the Wonderful World of Progeny. Take every opportunity to lie on the couch and have her sleep on your chest. It's a terrific feeling. (And your wife can't get after you for taking a nap because, hey, you're taking care of the baby.)
Wow! You procreated!
warm regards,

Congrats to Katie & you. An easter baby, very cool.
How long was labor?
Yo, Andrew...congrats!
Glad things worked out alright. Get all the sleep ya can now...your gonna need it!
Give our regards to Kaite, as well.

Another B-movie lover is born!
Congrats Andrew. The Borntreger family is now offically growing. As the father of 3 (With number 4 being due Sept. 29) I know how precious they are.
Again Congrats
congratulations on the good news. get a good nights sleep and remember that feeling well, because a good nights sleep will only be a memory for a while. Maybe Ash can get you a good deal as S-Mart.
Shop Smart. Shop S-Mart.
Talk about your Easter Eggs! Wonderful news, hope Katie and baby remain healthy. Give them my best.
Congratulations Andrew!
Congrats!
My godchild is 3 1/2 years old and so far I'm having fun letting her watch movies like Empire of the Ants, Swarm, Rats (She loves that movie)... also movies that she loves are Scooby-Doo live action movie, Harry Potter, Rose Red, XXX (Van Desel movie)... Yes, I'm a very evil Godfather/Uncle... HeHeHeHe...
Movies that she hates... Shrek, Home Alone and Home Alone 2
I'm thrilled to hear Katie and Jenna are doing well.
Your life will never be the same you know...
(It wasn't the placenta you needed to worry about.)
My man, congratu-f**king-lations! Kids are fun. Just be sure to not screw her up too bad with your movies, okay?
Yay for Andrew. Congratulations, or coming from a Jew, Mazel Tov.
Its good to know there is an heir to this site, it will be here for my kids!!!!
Congratulations!
As a father of three teenage girls, let me welcome you to the Redneck Psycho Dad club. Because as a guy, you remember how teenage guys think and you realize that you must now be the goalie and keep those horny bastards away from your dughters. I've found that showing videotapes of my IDPA competitions (Stock Service Pistol division) makes for very well-behaved respectful young men.
Kirk
Congratulations Andrew.
Now if you take her for a stroll in the park, and she misbehaves, don't be tempted to slam her against iron posts or throw swings at her face.
Pete
Congratulations! There is nothing more wonderful in life. I have a three-year old (named Andrew, but a coincidence), and another on the way. Even when the rest of life sucks, Andrew still makes me smile. Enjoy fatherhood.
i probably can't say anything that hasn't been said but Congradu-freaking-lations!
Thats awesome news!
Congratulations.
Of course you realize that when she gets to be a teenager and starts dating, all those teen sex comedies and slasher films are going to come back and haunt you... :)
Congrates on the multiply man. Long time reader (four years now I think) I never messaged before But I love this place. And I am very glad to see yer multiplying.
Congrates again.

Many thanks to everyone, and I look forward to all the challenges. This is our first, so we have a nice learning curve ahead, though Katie is taking to motherhood with gusto. Right now both Katie and Jenna are asleep in our room. I'm going to slip in and join them for a nap.
The little one will probably grow used to me rocking her while jotting down notes for a review with my free hand. We'll have to see which movies she likes, when she gets older. There has to be something in the collection that will carry her along like her father, be it a Harryhausen Sinbad movie, "Nausicaa," or "Attack of the Killer Tomatoes."
Someday, when Jenna tells me how mean her mother is, we will watch "Mommie Dearest" so that she knows how good she has it.
Huge Congrats to you and your wife, Andrew! Know this is running a little late, but just wanted to express my sincere good wishes to your family for many, many happy years ahead of you together. :)
Better late than never but congrats on the baby.
My wife and I recently had a daughter (Apr. 12), and I can really relate to how great of a feeling it is to be a father. It's amazing when your daughter looks at you for the first time with her beautiful little eyes.....
I'm getting veclempt. :)
Congratulations!
As I sit here with my 2 year old daughter(Home from work with a groin pull) I feel for you 2. The wealth of childrens programs on is enough to scare anyone. Gone are the days of Barney. Now we have the Teletubbies (induced but LSD use I'm sure). But to me even more frightening is a group of guys from New Zealand who call themselves the Wiggles. "BE AFRAID! BE VERY AFRAID!" But I can't think of a better way to spend my time then sharing it with my daughter.
Again Congrats to you 2.
Congratulations!!!!!
I know this is late, but congrats are definitely in order.
Nick
I'm a bit late here as well but congratulations to Andrew and Skaboi. Best of luck, you're both grounded for the next 18 years! Muhahaha...
I hear they're great with mint sauce :-)
Congratulations!
Break out the cigars folks, our webmaster is now an offical father and parent! Congradulations, Andrew.
Congrats Andrew...
Andrew, Katie and Jenna,
CONGRATULATIONS! Katie, I'm glad the placenta didn't swallow your husband. Andrew where is Jenna's picture? We would like to see her.... Congratulations to the joy of your lives.
John & Billie Akima
Congratulations!
Enjoy - these are the good times - once she gets mobile...look out!
What can I add except: Congratulations!
Or to give it an ethnic spin: Mazel Tov!
Congratulations to you and the wife! Hope you two remember what sleep is, you may not get any for a few months....but it's totally worth it, as you clearly know.
Now all you need is a kidz section to www.badmovies.org......
yeah....have reviews of Power Rangers movies, the Sailor Moon dub movies and Neverending Story II and III ready for them.
BTW: belated congrats from someone who is only posting his fifth-or-so post on the board...
