Hey guys, some friends of mine who go to the University of Buffalo are in production to make a movie of the classic NES game River Citty Ransom. The page for it is here:

There's a teaser trailer there now. Whether you're a fan of the game or of independent movies I think it'll be worth keeping an eye on. Who knows, it may even end up on this page someday. One thing I'm wondering is if they'll actually make the "actors" yell "BARF!" when they get punched or add in speech bubbles afterwards like in the old Batman series. Either way I bet everyone will have lots of fun, I love no-budget indie stuff like this.

Wow, what an awesome idea for a movie. River City Ransom remains one of the most underlook games of all time. Definitely a great premise for a movie, if done correctly.

yeah that game is awesome, someone yelling "BARF" on screen when getting punched would be pretty damn funny for those who have played the game.
