Title: David says: "Now I ask what is THIS movie?"
Post by: Dave: Blackeye15 on May 13, 2003, 02:48:06 PM
Well I just got a day of from cooking class because my cooking teacher says  i'm doing so well in class. While I was walking down the hall back the computer lab, out of the blue I remembered seeing the end of a scifi/horror movie on TBS (I think it was TBS that is) It took place beneath a builing in a city where some women were being chased by a ugly monster. One point a women fired a rocket launcher but the missle went into the monsters leg and it pulled the rocket out. Then the women see this injured man who says "help me up I have a rocket" so the women quickly help the man up and he hands them the rocket. A women loads it into the launcher, fires and, BLAMO! the monster's rests in pieces. The people go up the stairs and are outside the skyscarpper and leave. The END. Anyone know what THIS movie is?

I'm tempted, for some reason, to say "Project: Metalbeast," but I'm not at all certain. That movie falls right out of your head seconds after entry.

What do you mean by :

"That movie falls right out of your head seconds after entry."

Do mean that it's so bad that you'll want to turn of the movie only seconds after it's started or do mean that as it sounds like another movie?

That is indeed Project Metalbeast: DNA Overload.  Kane Hodder as a steel-skinned werewolf with extendable claws and a mane of steel quills on its back.  It's kinda slow-moving at first, but once the monster action starts, holy crap.  I seriously think this movie has one of the all-time coolest monsters, period.  It just looks so  EVIL!  And I was just talking about Barry Bostwick!

That sounds pretty correct from what I saw. Thank you all.

I mean, it's so dull and unengaging (except for the parts that are just headslappingly silly) that it should be titled "Teh (sic) Generic Cyborg Werewolf Movie." Kim Delaney's okay, but Barry Bostwick steals what little show there is in the role of Snidley Whiplash. Directed by the fella who gave the world "Butch Camp" (which means exactly what you think it means), "Project Metalbeast" earned a 3.3 at the IMDB.

WTF? The IMDB isn't infallible; it lists "Metalbeast" twice. The 1994 listing, without "Project" added to the title, is credited with Delaney and Bostwick, but the director is listed as Frank DeFelitta of "Entity" and "Audrey Rose" infamy. The fuller listing, with "Project" in the title, is dated 1995. Is there a story there--or just a goof?
