I'm crunched for time, so here's my thought: Don't know whether or not I liked the first one (waffling, always waffling). Wondering if anyone thought there was a chance of a good film (Perhaps if they ignored the first one?)
Cullen - out of time
Thanks for the warning,for I'll immediately flee away when I see this title on the shelf in my neighborhood video store.
The movie nobody asked for.
Didn't the movie flop? So why the heck would they make a sequel?
* No money
* No immediate large audience
WTF? I ain't watching that "crap." (you should never judge a movie by its cover--or its predicesor)
With"Lord Of The Rings"on its heels,why do they even bother.
And by the way this movie ain´t listed on imdb so it won´t see the light of day.
It isn't listed on IMDB because it was just announced less than 48 hours ago. Heck, they probably won't even have a listing until it begin production. Hell, there have even been movies that didn't get a listing until after they were released.
Rest assured, D&D 2 is coming. One of Joel Silver's production companies is making it so it has real money behind it even if it will be a cheap direct-to-video movie.
To ride LotR's coattails. It's been so long since the original D&D, I bet they're counting on no one remembering that it sucked.
Using the IMDb as a gauge as to whether or not a movie exists, or will exist, is not a precise science. Keep in mind that it still has Gorgo v. Godzilla (http://us.imdb.com/Title?0064383) listed as a made movie, when neither monster has ever come close to meeting each other.

D&D 2?
(Planchet! Bring me my popcorn, my root beer, and my brown trousers!)
So, Sequal, you think you can get through my mighty mojo B-movie sheilds?
En garde!
-----ooo-'U'-ooo------Kilroy was here
The first Dungeons And Dragons was unnecessary,now this sequel just shouldn´t exist.
No, no, I'm serious. The IMDb is a great resource, but take what it says with a grain of salt.
Cullen is definitely right. I have entered a couple of films into the IMDB, because they were not listed at all.
However, rumor sites always have the info days (if not weeks) before an IMDB entry is made.
Back on the subject of the movie. I am not sure that there needs to be another. It turned out to be dreck of the highest order. What I was looking for was a representation of D&D. That means a balanced party of characters. A thief, a wizard, a fighter or two, a cleric, maybe a dwarf and an elf. It hit some of that, but missed because the thief did everything. I wanted combined arms! Warriors to the front! Elf, back them up with your bow! Wizard, blast that horde of goblins before they can get behind us! Cleric, give us some light and prepare to help the wounded! Also, there were not many monsters.
I guess what I wanted was an updated "Hawk the Slayer" or a live action "Record of Lodoss War."
Live action "Record of Lodoss War" or something close, right. Something that would be more than just F/X.
