Title: sundown: the vampire in retreat
Post by: illcos on May 23, 2003, 05:16:59 PM
has anyone seen or does anyone own this?  i bought this cold on vhs a few years ago only because bruce campbell is in it; and damn was i impressed!  it starts off kind of slowly by the plot slowly builds into total absurdity and ends with a stupifying vampire gunfight.  this treasure also stars david 'death race 2000' carradine as count mardulak (note: the best way to hide your identity is to shuffle the letters of your world famous name).  awesome!

Howmuch do you suppose David Carradine gets paid to act in movies these days? It can't be more than about $15 an hour.

i think as long as they let him sleep in the studio after hours, he'll star in anything.

I haven't seen this movie, but it sure as hell sounds awesome.  I'll have to be on the lookout for it.  Any movie with David Carradine and Bruce Campbell is at least worth a look.

Another Anthony Hickox piece of crap. The scene at the gas station in the start and Deborah Foreman were the only things I liked about this movie.

that first scene sucked - come on, vampires SHOOTING eachother with submachine guns and that scene where the scientist is body slammed on his first day at work - it's brilliantly bad!
