COMANCHEROS (1961) - Caught this one on Encore Western Channel. It has the feel of a James Bond film only it's a Western starring John Wayne who plays a Texas Ranger. Not bad, If you can catch it on tv then its worth a look.
The only person on Earth that thinks westerns are cool is my wheezing dad.
Johnny, I already censored some of your other posts today because you put "f**king" in your name. Now you decide to insult Scott's taste in movies. I do not watch many westerns myself, but I always read Scott's posts because he gives us the scoop on what he thought of certain movies. And a couple of other posters will usually banter with Scott about the movies too.
I have no use for rude trolls here.
Having seen it and liked it--since I'm not a Dad (knock on wood), it must be the wheezing--several times, I'll banter. For me, what makes it enjoyable, is the cast, which includes Stuart Whitman, Nehemiah Persoff, Lee Marvin, Michael Ansara, Patrick Wayne, Bruce Cabot, Jack Elam, Edgar Buchanan, Henry Daniell, Richard Devon, and Guinn "Big Boy" Williams.
I agree that this one is enjoyable. It kind of reminded me of the T.V. series WILD WILD WEST. Plus Ina Balin is certainly easy on the eyes.
I forgot to mention that I also enjoy the fact that it's set much earlier than most westerns, taking place in the 1840's. It makes it stand out a bit.
