One word YUCK!
Boring to the point of actual pain, rates right up there with Buttcrack and Sucker the Vampire.
Andrew, if you ever get around to reviewing this movie, as I admit you're made of sterner stuff than I, my guess is you would give it 2 slimers . . . that includes 1.5 for about ten minutes of non-stop rated "R" nudity . . . that rating only comes because one of the girls was very attractive . . . What's that? my wife might read th . . . uh, I mean the innovative way they explored their innermost beings in a orgey, uhh I mean mind expanding journey to adulthood. The other .5 comes from a fairly cool effect where one of the girls explodes with internal organs wiggleing around for a bit. Rest of movie was a flat 0. If my wife actually reads this post . . . honey, I thought it was a religous documentary exploring the self actualization of the ID!
Thoughts?

andrew has posted a quick review on the message board a while ago if my memory serves me correctly. I don't think he liked it one bit. That larry clark seems like quite the pervert.
I'm still waiting to watch my DVD copy..... but I have to finish C.H.U.D. first. Scott, finish your sundae before you get to drag yourself through the mud.

I am guessing you mean the Creature Feature remake of a Roger Corman "classic". The newer one which was tied in with Stan Winston is utter trash. There is maybe one redeeming quality and that is the finale with the monster fight which is to damn little way to late.
the nudity was not enjoyable for me, it just felt wrong not enjoying it but I can't quite explain it. Larry Clark has made nothing but filth with his camera privelages and he is tyhe one person I would ban from making films forever! I would rather watch a marathon of Albert Pyun's Nemesis series before sitting through ten minutes of anything directed by Larry Clark.
A little off-topic, but has anyone ever heard the song "Teenage Caveman" by Johnny Legend & Zacherle? I have it on a Roger Corman tribute album. If you can find it, listen to it. It's pretty funny stuff-- Incredibly politically incorrect, but clearly tongue-in-cheek. The rest of the album is pretty cool, too; nice collection of obscuro indie-rock (the only other artist on it I've heard of is Man Or Astroman), with each track somehow related to a Corman film.
I really dislike this movie.
I keep picking it up to finally write a review, then common sense kicks in and I quickly put it the heck back down on the reference shelf.
My main complaint is the writing, which mainly consists of people saying "F**k!" every minute. In some movies it fits right in. In this one it just shows lazy writing. And that is only the tip of the iceberg in the lazy writing complaints.
The basic premise behind the two superhumans is interesting, almost reminds me of "Zardoz" too. However, they are made into such cartoon villains that I gave up caring why they were so miserable. And I have seen the entire movie before at a couple of parties. So that is where most of the script came from: an out of control party (and not a white robot in sight).
It's simply one of the worst movies I've ever seen. If there's one good thing I can say about it, it's that at least it was actually a remake unlike EARTH VS. THE SPIDER which had nothing to do with the original, which is the only Bert I. Gordon film I like. Otherwise, the movie nauseates me, a molestation of the soul.
