Title: Treasure of Silver Lake (1965)
Post by: Scott on June 07, 2003, 08:29:38 PM
Encore just showed TREASURE OF SILVER LAKE (1965). Its been said that this is the film that set the mark for Euro-Westerns to follow. A cast of odd characters. A movie that every B-Movie fan should see with out a doubt. The errors and dialogue are the most outrageous ever put on film. TREASURE OF SILVER LAKE was a German-Yugoslavian production with some really bad dubbing, but surely entertaining. B-Movie fans will not be dissappointed with this one. It's the YONGARY of the Western genre without a question. I'm sure Encore will show it again. It's also a must see for fans of the Western genre.

I've also re-watched a few other Westerns with some visitors over the last month. SHANE, TOMBSTONE, FIST FULL OF DOLLARS, THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE UGLY,  DJANGO, FIST FULL OF DYNAMITE, PAT GARRETT AND BILLY THE KID and BUTCH CASSIDY AND THE SUNDANCE KID.

I'm starting to get back to my list of unseen films. Next is RIO BRAVO
