Does anyone remember this Wes Craven movie from 1986?
I haven't seen it since it was in the theatre, but I seem to recall really liking it at the time. I thought, at the time, it was a bit more fun than the slasher movies that were big with a fun twist at the end.
It doesn't appear to be available on DVD, but I hope it will be soon.
Anyone wish to comment on this one?
Rob
This one scared the hell out of me as a child. I guess I saw it around 1990, I was probably in the first grade at the time. This is one of the first things I saw on Fox when we first got the station. I thought it would be a cool movie, guy has robots, sweet! It tramatized me about halfway through with the girl killing her stepfather..(spoiler)..cooks him if I remember correctly.
Also, I think I caught this one on recently. In the end does the robot come out of her body????
They used to play this movie a lot on TBS, and I loved it everytime it was on. I still look back and think of that basketball and a happy smile just appears over my face
that scene where that b***h gets her head blown up with a basketball's pretty hilarious, HAHAHA!

Geeze, you guys make some of us really feel old. I'd been in the Army over 6 years in 1990 . . . can't you just pretend to be older? Like when you used to try to buy beer?
:-)

It's been a while for me, but wasn't that a dream? I kind of remember her regaining control, as she was supposed to do, just before she was blown away.
Rob, I can honestly say I never went out and tried to buy beer.
Now passing the money on to someone older...guilty! :o)
I saw it in the theater. Didn't like it very much.
I kind of liked it, but I always thought the ending was sad. It's finally working and making her normal again and the cops kill her. It wouldn't be so bad if it didn't feel so forced. What kind of police force guns down a teenage girl who is holding her obviously empty hands out in front of her, even if they do think she's a murderer?
