Encore Western Channel showed a couple films tonight.
A MAN CALLED SLEDGE (1970) - This Italian film stars James Garner and Dennis Weaver. Not a bad film about a gang of thieves who find out about a well protected gold transport. The gold is kept in a prison along with 500 inmates and protected by 40 professional gunman and a gatlin gun. The Theme song about gold is fun also.
RELENTLESS (1948) - Starring Robert Young from FATHER KNOWS BEST. Well I had trouble getting into the story, but its a quaint film about a man who is framed for killing two gold miners and he tries to stay free to clear his name. A women helps him out and the ending is also neat. The whole film is shot in Arizona.
Next on deck for me is SILVERADO. I watched the first 1/2 hour but had to stop, but it looks ok so far.
