I didn't see the first movie and I don't intend to go near Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle. Basically, these types of movies are trying to sell sex appeal and Matrix-rehashed stunts.
This new movie already looks to be more about the bootie than the movie. Unfortunately, each time I see Cameron Diaz, she's looking more skanky, Drew Barrymore gaining more weight and Lucy Liu isn't doing it for me.
Charlie's Angels was hilarious. I mean, the ass if definitely a factor, but there's really more to the movie than sex. I think it succeeded much better than most action comedies do. I can't wait for the sequel. And Cameron Diaz is a goddess. Talented one, at that. I won't hold "Gangs of New York" against her.
I have always thought that Drew Barrymore is a hottie. Of course, every time she pops up on TV my wife sneers "Oh, there's your girlfriend. You think she's prettier than me?" Gets tiresome.
All I can say is that it is very sad when Demi Moore looks hotter than all of the three angels combined, Yikes.
Yeah, the movie was pretty much as sage described it, a "sexier" version of the things left on the Matrix cutting room floor.
I'm right with you on that one, Chadzilla. I would rather have a railroad spike driven through the roof of my mouth than hear that stupid question one more time. Just makes you want to yell "YES! Now shut the f**k up!"
Don't take this the wrong way, I do NOT condone any kind of abuse or violence against women, even though that sounded harsh, but by god they can be irritating.

Charlie's Angels was the first DVD we got - actually that my *wife* got - and I had to endure sitting through it while my 8 year old daughter laughed like a drain at it. She thought it was the coolest thing since - since - well, that episode of Samurai Jack with the giant blue mutant hamster.
Personally, I thought it was like a 90 minute advert for hairspray.
I had a whole different take on this. I really enjoyed the first movie and am looking forward to the second one. If you are familiar with the television show, you understand that the only point to these movies is camp. No, they are not cinematic gold, but they are entertaining.
