Ok did anyone happen to watch this movie on the SCI FI channel?
I did happen to see it and cannot believe that I did so.
I mean a portal to another dimension where human spider people are like zombie cannibals or something? I do not know who in their right mind would make such a movie. Oh yeah this is SCI FI.
i did manage to get through it but I wasn't sure at first.
I saw the commercials for it.
As soon as I saw Richard Grieco was in it I immediately decided NOT to see it.
Most of the Sci Fi original movies are crap anyway.
I cannot believe that they actually think that the films they put out are cool!
Who the f**k is running that network anyway!?
Coming to the Sci-Fi Channel August 31st
The fine folks at UFO Films, makers of such fine flicks as ANTIBODY and DRAGON FIGHTER, have another fine flick coming down the pike. This one is called DEEP SHOCK. A group is sent in to investigate a distress call from a high-tech oil drilling facility below the Arctic Circle. They find that the hull has been ruptured and everyone inside is seemingly dead. Soon, they have to fight for survival against the creature responsible for the carnage â€" a giant electric eel! Yep, a giant eel with jaws of steel that can track prey via electrical signals. You know, I’ve been thinking we were overdue for a killer eel movie. Too bad this one is coming from a production company that isn’t known for making good movies or even entertaining schlock for that matter.
I'm sure someone will get a charge out of it. Of course, watt do I know?
Whoa. These puns are draining me. I'm starting to feel eel.

You think a network which prides its self on science fiction would be able to put out some decent sci-fi and horror flicks. Most of there original movies are crap. The only one that I have like of theres was there remake of the dune saga, those were pretty cool. Why can't this network put out some decent sci-fi flicks.Don't they relise that these scripts suck and the directors are horrible.
a giant killer eel? HA HA! cute I like it, nothign is moer amusing than a monster movie where bad actors get eaten, yeah that was the ONLY redeeming feature of the creeping terror. And that still didnt make it more than grade 'A' poop.
A giant electric eel?.....And Godzilla shows up when?
Oh, Lord....when will it all end!?
This plot makes me eel. Is this the Bass Sci-Fi can do? What a load of Carp! I'm goin' into a state of shark i is!
Intresting...a thread about mutant spider people, and i'm reduced to fish puns....is this BB unpredictable or what?
All these cinematic strait lines waiting to be used, and no MST3K to use 'em. Curse you, Sci-Fi channel!

The real reason they cancelled MST3K: They didn't want them ridiculing their own movies.
I watched Webs. I didn't think it was that bad for a direct to video movie. Of course it was dumb and completely predictable, but the effects were ok and I've always had a soft spot for movies where people travel into an alternate universe. I mean I know it's crap, but at least I wasn't bored by it. Actually, they should have called it Sliders, The Movie.
Ok, sorry for reviving this topic, but I saw this crap the other day. Yeah, you could pretty much call it Sliders: The Movie, seeing as how SciFi turned Sliders to s**t, and this movie was basically the same thing. Sure, I can see how they fit together now.
The acting in "Webs" was some of the worst I've ever seen, the story was very predictable, and it had one of the worst endings I've ever seen too.
I also had trouble believing that the world could be overrun with those "spider freaks"... they die from a shotgun blast or from having a metal rod stabbed into them.. they ain't too hard to kill. I have trouble believing that they could have infested the whole world like that... just let people KILL THEM!
The only cool things in this movie was the fact that they were in an alternate reality and the way that all of that black stuff would come out of the spider-freaks when they were hit with shotgun rounds...
.....it sucked. It seemed as if the makers couldn't decide between two or three different plots, and put them all together into one movie.
Even the previews looked sh*tty...
it was mediocere
