Imagine the great "B-movies" they could make with the following people if they were still alive:
* Elvis Presley (he was DESTINED to star in an Italian horror movie)
* Sal Mineo (he was well on his way when he appeared in ESCAPE FROM THE PLANET OF THE APES)
* Marilyn Monroe (as soon as she hit her early 50s and gained 20 pounds, she would have started appearing as an evil female scientist in a lot of drive-in flicks)
* Nick Adams (he was already making Japanese schlock BEFORE he died . . . imagine what he'd be doing NOW!)
* Sid Vicious (definitely would have appeared in a lot of post-nuke, desert wasteland, ROAD WARRIOR rip-offs)
Who are some others?
James Dean.
A bright and promising young career that got sidelined by a bunch of bad movies/alcoholism turned him into a brooding anti-hero in Zombie Without a Cause.
Bruce Lee: I'm sure at some point in his career he would've slummed a little bit.
Brandon Lee: Same here.
Nick
Robert Shaw would be playing benched tough guys (you know, the captain that is the rogue cop's only friend in City Hall). He also would have played the Pirate captain in the movie version of Peter Benchley's The Island (anybody who has read the book knows that the part was written for him).
Joe Spinell would still be playing gangster or cops. Maniac 2 would have been made.
Richard Crenna woul....wait, he was in Death Ship, nevermind.
Brother R
Bob Crane would have made some great shlock, had it not been for that whole murder thing. The guy had all the makings of a b-movie great. He was easily recognizable by audiences, being rerun on a hit TV show for years, but too closely associated with that one role to get good acting jobs. His career was all but dead, so he'd be a famous face for a low price. His personal life also seemed to indicate that he was willing to sink pretty low.
