I can just hear the studio execs now:

"The original was scary without even showing much. Imagine how scary it will be when you can actually see the ghost, thanks to the wonders of CGI."

Maybe I'm too cynical.

A remake of the CHANGELING? This is a good film that someone referred me to from this messageboard and I really liked its style. A remake using CGI make me queesy. Eee Gads!

I always thought "The Ring" was a loose remake feel of "The Changeling". Same concept about the ghost anyways.

I agree that, unfortunately, CG effects will be the ruination of this movie. The original was scary because it left just about everything to your imagination.
