It is an old swatch ad, alright? It features people doing different activities: A couple having sex, an athlete crossing the end line, a man parachuting... And on the bottom of the screen it displays the time these activities took. The song was quite popular at the time. Any ideas?
Ah....might be a European area ad, Nev. Don't recall seeing it here in the U.S.
How long did the sex take ,btw?
Well, yes, it was an european ad. I saw it in Spain. The sex moment was quite tame, with almost no nudity, so I thought the ad might have been seen in the US as well. Oh, according to the people who made it the really important moment in that segment only took 3 seconds. The idea behind the ad was how imporatant time can be, you know.
I'm curious, do they show nudity in commercials in Spain?
If I'm not mistaken they do on standard television, correct?
Yes, nudity (usually female nudity) in advertising is quite common in Spain, specially in beauty products like perfumes or similar. They do they best to keep it tasteful (ex. no groin shots) and I have never heard anybody complaining about it.
There's also quite a lot of nudity on spanish movies, both male and female. TV series are much less daring, although they were showing some T&A in a cop show last time I checked.
Finally found the &/&$%& song, I had it stuck on my head for months!
For those who are interested, it is "Breathe", sung by Midge Ure.
