Seen LONESOME RIDE (1959) a couple night ago. It's a unique Western starring Randolph Scott, Karen Steele, Pernell Roberts (Adam from Bonanza), James Best (Dukes of Hazards, Roscoe P. Coltrane), Lee Van Cleef, and James Coburn
The film is about a bounty hunters who want to take in the same guy. One of them want him for revenge regarding his hanged wife. The tree that was used in burned down in the end from a neat camera angle. Anyone else like this film? I missed the very beginning. Did they show the wife being hanged?
Seen it. Liked it. This was one in a series of westerns Scott maked with western director Budd Boetticher. The others being "Comache Station," "Buchanan Rides Alone," and "The Tall T." As a bit of mini film history, this was James Coburn's motion picture debut.
An addenum to my previous post. Actually, the title is "Ride Lonesome."
