I'm shocked to read all this I'm amazed a well.
Ha ha ha! And what the hell did Wayne to make Stalin think he was a threat to his plans? Indeed, Wayne's anti-communism is well known, but I don't think he made a very successful propaganda figure. Well, maybe in the times the whole thing happenned Wayne had some power, but all I can think of is how he blew it when at the sunset of his career he tried to convince the american audiences that the Vietnam war was fair and it was being won with the pathetic "The green berets". Well, if there was ever any need of evidence to prove that Stalin was nuts, here it is.
I might be mistaken, but isn't the Sun the UK equivalent of the Weekly World (or thereabouts)?
The Sun - described as a "news-comic with boobs" - can also be fairly described as printing yesterday's news tomorrow. Take anything it says with a large column of sodium chloride.
for a laugh. I thought it was a funny read.
