Does anyone have any interesting, rare, classic, etc., pieces of movie memoribilia? It can be anything: props, costumes, autographs, photos, freebies given out at the box-office? I ask because I currently have NOTHING of any merit (except if you count 2 popcorn tubs with Spider-Man on them that I got when the movie came out last year . . . I figure that I'll save them for about 50 years and then sell them for about $1 million each).
Things that I had, but I threw away or lost:
* A surgical mask that they gave out at the box-office when I saw BASKET CASE at the theater back in the 1980s
* A stomach distress bag (aka vomit bag) that I got at the drive-in when I saw MARK OF THE DEVIL back in the 1970s
I'm sure you guys must have some good stuff.

I went to see "Faces of Death 4" (I think it was #4) at a special midnight showing and they gave me a certificate that said something like, "I survived Faces of Death!
It had red blood spatters printed on it!
I lost it several years ago.
I wonder what happened to it.
I was ablt to obtain the original VIP Distributor's pressbook for the film EQUINOX (1969)! Reading the various headlines and crazed behind-the-scenes moments, it's a pure example of marketing stratagey.
Well, the closest thing I have is a PLANET OF THE APES (original movie images) tee shirt. Though it was probably printed 5 years ago.
Other than that I once had a scratch and sniff card from going to the movie POLYESTER that was playing at an art theater. That was an interesting experience, but I don't know what happenned to the card.
I still have a cup from Superman 2 - given out at the concession stand for some insane price like $5 for a large coke.
I also fell victim to the tie-in craze during college, I still have the Demolition Man (aka Demolition Meal) poster from the only restaurant to survive the franchise wars, Taco Bell!
Somewhere I think I have like 3 different promotional glasses for Star Wars that were given out by one of the fastfood chains.

Vomit bags aren't particularly interesting anymore.....not like they used to be....and the barf bags from MARK OF THE DEVIL show up on Ebay all the time, usually several are listed by different sellers at the same time. I guess not many people hurled during that movie! :-)

That sounds neat as far as the way they printed it....but certificates are hardly an unusual or valuable item. Now, if you had one of the "death by fright" insurance certificates from William Castle's MACABRE....now THAT would be worth something!

Some marketing stragtegies are indeed interesting....but pressbooks are pretty much commonplace and hardly unusual.

I actually have several of those "Odorama" cards from when thr movie was first released....when the film was over I walked around the theater picking them up off the floor! :-)
I have three of the four McDonald's promo glasses from the first Flintstones movie, and two autographed Dr. Who trading cards (Nicholas Courtney and John Levene, the Brigadier and Sgt. Benton respectively).
