Been posting this same message on various boards in order to get some advice about this situation of mine:
Saturday I received my DVD of THE RAVEN/COMEDY OF TERRORS from MGM as per the agreement I made with MGM for contributing materials for inclusion on the disc. This included an audio recording of a rare RAVEN promotional flexi-disc recording, as well as complete scans of all the pages and photos in the booklet the record came in. Part of the agreement was I received several MGM dvds au gratis for the contribution.
HOWEVER....as per a comment/promise made by my contact at MGM, in which I was told "I could offer you (5) finished DVD's and a credit in the credits section on the DVD Featurette"....I did not receive any credit for the contribution. I've checked everywhere possible on the disc's credits, and nothing....nada!
Not all of the scans I provided were used, and I expected that. Mostly, some really good publicity stills and behind-the-scenes photos were used for the image gallery slideshow, to which the audio recording I provided was used as the accompanying sound.
I emailed my two MGM contacts earlier Sunday, but I still wanted to get some feedback and advice on this.....but I'm a little miffed I wasn't given a credit as I was promised. What does everyone else think?
Here's the two menus leading into the Special Feature of the Promotional Record: the Main Menu is on the top, and the Special Features menu is below:

Here are the five image scans I sent in that were used. They are the first five images seen during the slideshow: the booklet front cover, the booklet back cover, the entire record, the center of the record, and the pink pocket page which the record was in:

These are the only two credit screens I could find on the DVD:

These are the only contribution credits, at the end of the Roger Corman interview:

You have a contract and they don't recognize you for it. That is a bunch of horse crap. you need to get credit for it and you rest assured seem to deserve it. I unfortunately do not know how you could nicely get this done. I would say just go in and kick some corporate ass and have it taken care of with your credit noted, but I am sure that is a hell of a lot easier said than done.
Good luck in your endeavor and hope you get the crediting you deserve.

Thanks! Unfortunately, all I have is a copy of the "Third Party Release Materials" (the legal form regarding their use of materials I sent in), and an email with the "giving you a credit" comment. I have nothing in writing. Let's face it: it's too late to do anything about getting a credit added....the discs have obviously already been manufactured.
HOWEVER....this is why I'm posting about this in as many places as is possible: To get my name out there so people will know whom to thank for the particular materials I supplied.

Always get EVERYTHING in writing.
"Dear Greg,
I'm glad you are happy with how the disc turned out.
We sincerely apologize for the credit oversight. When we provided the gallery with the recording to the post house, they mistakenly did not include credits. When we borrow materials from collectors all over the world, we rarely provide a credit for their contribution as there is no proper place to insert that information, rather we provide them with complimentary DVD's as we did in your case. If you would like a few more titles on DVD, we would be more than happy to accommodate you.
Sincerely, (names withheld)"
So I guess we'll have to see how this turns out....
