A while back, scenes from an episode of a TV series popped into my head and for the life of me, I can't remember what show it was. I'm 99% sure it wasn't a movie because I seem to recall it being short.
All I can remember is that there was an abandoned building, possibly damaged by fire (or maybe not), and when a guy goes there, he finds a bunch of people who I think were having some kind of party. I think they might have been wearing costumes and there was a cheerleader that I think he starts to like. In the end, I believe that they were revealed to be ghosts of people who died there. I'm not positive, but I think he goes back there a couple times, like first he meets these people, then he goes back during the day and can't find any evidence that they were there, then maybe he finds out that they're all dead, then he goes back to be with the cheerleader. I think there was some twist to the story as well, like that he was the reincarnation of someone who died with the rest of them etc.
It had to be part of an anthology series like Twilight Zone/Outer Limits and it was within the last 10 years or so. I THOUGHT it was an episode of the syndicated show Ghost Stories, but I've looked at all the episode descriptions and it doesn't seem to be any of them.
I can rule out the following shows;
Twilight Zone (80's & UPN)
Outer LImits
Night Visions
Ghost Stories
Monsters
Tales from the Darkside
Anyone recognize the above description or know of any other recent supernatural anthology shows I've missed?
You may want to check and see if by chance it was a Nickolodeon series I think-- Are You Afraid Of The Dark.
It sounds very familiar from a strory line on that. Not too bad of a series.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't AYAOTD, I recall the cast being all adults.
I agree that it wasn't AYAOTD. But it does sound familiar. I know I've see this but for the life of me I cannot remember the name of the show. To me it seems like it would come on late at night on Saturdays. At least that's what I can remember.
Sounds like an episode of Tales From The Crypt, although I couldn't tell you which one.

It sounds like it might be! Now I just have to watch for it to come on AMC to see if it's the one I remember. Too bad they don't seem to be showing them in order. Hopefully they'll eventually show them all. Thanks.
