Great review....though, i must admit, a bad flick brings out the true skill at verbal abuse , more so then one you actualy like.
Still, it works for me. Glad my DVD has a good audio track. The theater print is saw had a bad track for the Martians, so many of the jokes got lost or underplayed.

and, of corse...
"Prepare to die, Earth Scum!!"

Spaced Invaders is one of those movies that slipped through the cracks for me.
I've never seen it.
I'll have to go rent it sometime.

I really do try to pick both films that do the right things and films that plain torture me. Heck, even some of the really bad movies have great ideas, just an awful execution.
"Spaced Invaders" has a terrific number of lines. I also like the one drone at the beginning telling his adjutant (or other staff officer), "I have not yet begun to fight." to which the little Martian replies, "Now would be a good time to start!"

Yeah, that was a good one, too. You could've said "terrific number of lines" or "number of terrific lines"
And it's hard to spot but all the martians are dressed in outfits based on other movies
I think I'll rent this one. It sounds like my cup of tea.
