Just seen 10 minutes of the latest released LORD OF THE RINGS on a TV screen at Hollywood Video and it looked better than on the big screen. It just looked like a better film. Explain that one.
it was a big tv screen?
:P
i like it better on big screen, but i recently grabbed the dvd and it had a very different feel to it. doesn't mean it's bad, just had an odd feel. maybe it was the fact that i saw it too many times at the movies, and then a few months of putting up with my friends bootleg dvd with funny subtitles [kagolaxis is what they call legolas, the orcs are 'b***hmen' whilst the hobbits are 'halfb***hmen' and gollum swears all the f**king time, a great laugh]
maybe actually seeing a proper copy has messed with my perceptions...
i'm very jazzed up waiting for return of the king. can't wait.
Not sure what it is, maybe because the film has to much in the visual background and the TV eliminates some of the clutter due to the size of the screen.
Holy F*cking s**t!!! That sounds so awesome dean.... where can I procure a copy of this version???dean wrote:

i have no idea where my friend got the dvd, but i'm sure that you'd find many a bootleg dvd just like this one if you bug anyone you know travelling to asia [i think he got it in taiwan]. the funny thing is it also had "this movie is for award show consideration" type-sign come up every now and then...
