Yes believe it nor not this classic Z-grade horror film had made it to DVD, WITH commentary by the director-Jeff Lieberman. the wierd thing about it all is how serious Leiberman takes squirm, and he even expresses a little irriation at MST 3K for their parody of the fake intro story, lol!
Yes. I got my copy a couple of days ago. I haven't watched it yet, but I'm looking forward to it.
PLUS . . . it's the unrated version.

During the beginning of the commentary for SQUIRM, Leiberman pretty much explains that it's hard to make fun of a film that's already intended to be a "goof". In this case, MST3K's joking towards the film are a waste because the film is already an intended joke and not a film that takes itself too seriously.
And I myself also express a lot of irritation at MST3K when they show a movie. It's just an annoying show.
MST3K is the greatest show ever. Squirm is a peice of poop.yuck.
I've never understood why this is an EITHER/OR kind of subject on these boards (I'm mainly thinking of Mobius Forum here): EITHER you love B moves OR you love MST. I love both and I don't see why it's incompatible. In fact there was just a thread on Mobius on how MST turned people on to a lot of B movies.
That said, there were a few times when they just picked the wrong movie to spoof. I was very disappointed that the last episode of the series was DIABOLIK because it looked to me like a really cool movie.
Then there are the movies that are so bad (usually boring-bad) that not even ridicule can save them (e.g., the German TV version of Hamlet shown in the 10th season).

There's a lot of AND cases as well...
yes very true. or Manos, oh god nothing could save that terd!! but i agree with you, i love both and i don't see what the big deal is about it.
