Title: What's the deal with Flash Gordon?
Post by: Evil Matt on September 06, 2003, 04:07:04 AM
How come I can't find a copy of "Flash Gordon" (which I consider to be the movie that is most tailor-made to my tastes in cinema) on DVD?  Did they discontinue it?  If so, can someone be made to pay for this gross travesty of justice?  That movie rocks.

Damn! And I was just thinking of buying that before the end of the year!

Good luck finding it.  I tried special ordering it from Borders.  All I got was a lousy postcard saying that THEY couldn't find it anywhere either.

You didn't look very hard.
Go to Amazon.com.  They have several new & used copies.

Or go to Blockbuster Video.

That's where I got my copy on VHS years ago.
They ordered it for me.

Or try Suncoast Video.

Both Blockbuster and Suncoast have been pretty much unhelpful in my fruitless quest.  Amazon, as far as I can tell, is only selling used copies and Brazilian releases of the DVD.  Which I guess would be one way to go, but it would sort of seem like cheating seeing as how I've been looking for the damned thing for so long.
