I heard there was to be an Evil Dead 4 ! I know I shouldn't listen to drunk bartenders, but this girl knows her stuff. Any help out there ?
Their has always been a rumor that an EVIL DEAD 4 would materialize in the near future. And from what I hear, if a good script comes in the hands of director Sam Raimi and actor Bruce Campbell, as well as getting a studio to be interested in it, then it might happen. But for now, we'll have to wait. Raimi is still working on SPIDER-MAN sequel and Campbell is out doing his own thing. It's just a matter of time and I'm in no hurry. I'm still young and can wait.
Even so, to make an EVIL DEAD 4 one has to wonder how it will follow up ARMY OF DARKNESS. Keep in mind that ARMY OF DARKNESS has two well known endings: the original ending (which is in the 'Director's Cut') had the character Ash sleep his way to his own century, but he slept too long and ended up in the post-apocalyptic future; the theatrical ending had Ash make it back to his own time, but still fighting the undead.
Personally if I wrote the script, I would have Ash sleep and then have him dream that he is back in his own time fighting demons, then have him wake up and find himself in the post-apocalyptic world. It would work.
I think they might actually do it. Now that raimi and tapert have created ghosthouse studio and have a few projects set up doing( the boogymen and ju-on the american version) and Sam is will finish spiderman 2 in about 8 months they can afford to take things in their hands once more.
Lets hope they take us for one more ride >:)

Probably like the other two movies; ED4 would start out showing him drink the potion and then go on to show something completely different than what happened in AoD.
