Title: RIP John and Johnny
Post by: Legion421 on September 12, 2003, 02:47:59 PM
Associated Press is reporting that  John Ritter of 3's Company & 8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter fame and country legend Johnny Cash both passed away today.  Although I wasn't a huge fan of either, I had a great respect for both.  RIP, guys!

Yeah, Warren and Johnny.  Not a good week for musicians.

And it's shocking when the stars of shows you watched as a kid start dying, even though it is too early.

ABC news.com has already named today (9-12-03) "Black Friday".

I wonder if they're havin' a drink together up in Heaven?

Also, fans of more offbeat music will be saddened to know that it was just announced that Shooby Taylor, the Human Horn, died in June. If you haven't heard any of his stuff, check out http://www.shooby.com-- it's indescribably weird and hilarious.

RIP John, Johnny, and Shooby, and congrats to Erik and Cally!

John was 54 the radio said, some freakundiagnosed heart problem. Johnny Cash was 71, but he looked much more worn than that. It doesn't seem to be a good year for entertainers does it?

This year has been pretty bad for celebrities and we still have 3 1/2 months to go.  Here's a list of who has passed away:

http://www3.sympatico.ca/jenoff/obit.htm

Doesn't list everyone, since I don't see Warren Zevon on there.  Hope they are all doing good in the afterlife.

Does anyone remember the movie Jonny was in? With Kirk Douglas, i think. They played Gunfighters, two old guys, who were payed to have a lethal last shootout in an arena in some Mexican town.
Any one remember that?
